BAFTA-nominated actress Keira Knightley will discuss her career at a ‘BAFTA: A Life in Pictures’ event

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has today announced that BAFTA-nominated actress Keira Knightley will discuss her career at a ‘BAFTA: A Life in Pictures’ event at on Monday 17 December.

‘BAFTA A Life in Pictures’ is a long-running series of onstage interviews in which some of the film world’s leading talent share insights into the experiences that helped them hone and develop their craft. The series has previously hosted figures including Annette Bening, Kenneth Branagh, Cate Blanchett, Viola Davis, David Fincher, Hugh Grant, Emma Thompson, Sam Mendes, Helen Mirren, Alan Rickman, Vanessa Redgrave, Martin Scorsese, Kristin Scott Thomas, Meryl Streep, Kate Winslet and Jeremy Irons.

Keira Knightley began acting as a child and made her feature film debut in 1995 at 10 years old. After gaining international recognition for her breakthrough roles in the psychological horror film The Hole and the hugely popular football drama film Bend It Like Beckham, Knightley has since enjoyed a critically acclaimed and varied career working across both Hollywood blockbusters and independent films, with titles including Love Actually, King Arthur, the BAFTA-nominated Pride & Prejudice, Domino, The Duchess, The Edge of Love, Seeking a Friend for the End of the World and the BAFTA-nominated Anna Karenina. She also played Elizabeth Swann in the fantasy series Pirates of the Caribbean, appearing in five of the smash-hit films.
