Lightbulb announce ‘Frankie Freako’ release date

Lightbulb Film Distribution is pleased to announce that Frankie Freako will be released in the UK & Ireland from July 14.

Written and directed by Steven Kostanski (Psycho Goreman, The Void), the comedy-horror is a homage to classic 80’s movies like Gremlins, Ghoulies and Critters.

After calling a late-night party hotline, Conor must battle the pint-sized forces of evil – led by Frankie Freako – unleashed through his phone line.

The film stars Conor Sweeney (Psycho Goreman), Adam Brooks (Dark Harvest) and Kristy Wordsworth (States of Mind).

Kostanski recently served as prosthetic makeup and effects lead on In A Violent Nature.

YouTuber Rich Evans (RedLetterMedia) voices Frankie’s nemesis, President Munch.

The World Premiere took place at Fantasia International Film Festival.
