Sir David Hare’s new BBC2 drama Collateral stars Carey Mulligan, as DI Kip Gillespie, and John Simm – who’s to be found on the other side in ITV’s Trauma, also starting on February 12th.
Set over four days, the four-part series features some brilliant London locations. Take a look at the trailer here.
One of the most eye-catching places is the police station, set in the 1960s concrete “pop” building, formerly called Space House, (now CAA House) on Kemble Street in Camden. Filming over a day in May last year captured the many arrivals and departures of the investigating team.
FilmFixer manages the film office service for many of the London boroughs that hosted the production.
FilmFixer director Andrew Pavord says, “A lot of Londoners were quite excited to see Carey Mulligan at work. In Camden, she and the team park up at the De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms on Great Queen Street to retrieve the phone of a character called Fatima.
“And there’s a lovely montage of her walking along the Albert Embankment in Lambeth.
“Also pulled into Kip’s investigation is Jane Oliver played by Nicola Walker, a vicar desperate to hide her secret affair with the only witness to the crime.
“Her church scenes were filmed at St James Clerkenwell in Islington where the production made donations to charities including the local tenants and residents association, local regeneration trust and Priory House.
