The Convert | Guy Pearce stars in historical epic

Vertigo Releasing will be releasing Guy Pearce’s historical, action epic, The Convert, to own or rent on digital from October 14th.

When lay preacher (Guy Pearce – Momento, The Hurt Locker, L.A. Confidential) arrives at a British settlement in 1830s New Zealand, his violent past is drawn into question and his faith put to the test as he finds himself caught in the middle of a bloody war between Māori tribes.

The Convert explores questions of faith, transformation, and the nature of violence. A visceral watch , ambitious in scope and action, the film is also one of the most authentic and exciting depictions of pre-colonial Aotearoa New Zealand and Māori culture ever portrayed on screen.

The Convert is directed by Lee Tamahori (Next, xXx: State of the Nation, Once Were Warriors, Die Another Day).
