UK Premiere + Q&A for the long-awaited final season of Caveh Zahedi’s The Show About the Show

Buzz, Film, Reviews

Ten years ago, documentary filmmaker Caveh Zahedi started making The Show About the Show, a meta-series where each episode is about the making of the previous episode.

Many years in the making, Season 3 brings the show to a close by finally telling the story of the making of Season 2.

In March 2025, join Zahedi at the Prince Charles Cinema for a retrospective of The Show About the Show, including the UK Premiere of the long-awaited final season.

These screenings are a collaboration between documentary festival the Creative Nonfiction Film Weekend (CNFW) and experimental screening collective Electric Blue.

More events with Zahedi will be announced soon, including screenings taking place in other UK cities.

Who is Caveh Zahedi?

Caveh Zahedi has spent the last 30 years documenting his life on camera, sometimes to the detriment of his personal relationships, but always aspiring toward absolute honesty.

He’s an acknowledged influence on filmmakers such as Richard Linklater, Lena Dunham, Greta Gerwig, and the Safdie brothers, whose work has reached the mainstream, while Zahedi remains a figure of cult cinema fascination. His personal documentation is unmatched in its uncompromising nature and its longevity.

CNFW and Electric Blue are bringing Zahedi to London because he has just completed the final season of his decade-long project The Show About the Show, a meta-series where each episode is about the making of the previous episode.

While he’s here, they will be hosting a number of events with him in London and in other cities around the UK.

Tickets are currently on sale for the two screenings of The Show About the Show screenings at the Prince Charles Cinema.
