Black Adam, Smile & Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile top Rakuten TV’s December highlights

Today, premium Video-On-Demand platform  Rakuten TV  is delighted to announce the release of their latest titles for December.

In Rakuten TV’s “STORE” selection, highlights from this month include Black Adam, action-adventure film starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, grossing a huge 18.5M at the box office and Ticket to Paradise, Rom-Com starring George Clooney and Julia Roberts which will be available to buy from 5th December. Other picks include Savage Justice, action-thriller starring Robert de Niro and the animated adventure comedy Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile which became a fast family favourite at the box office, grossing 11.5 million. Starring Javier Bardem and music with Shawn Mendes, the film will be a Home Premiere, available to rent or buy.

Additional titles on offer include Paramount’s psychological horror Smile, which grossed an impressive 11.4 million at the Box Office and Abandoned, new horror starring Emma Roberts.

If you needed any more reason to stay indoors during the cold winter nights, the family animation film Tad, The Lost Explorer And The Curse of the Mummy, as well as stand-up comedy and music from legendary composer Tim Minchin – Back (Old Songs, New Songs, F*ck You Songs).

For fans of the royal family, there are new documentaries based on Queen Elizabeth II, Elizabeth Windsor and Elizabeth: A Portrait in Parts to enjoy from the 5th December. As if this wasn’t enough, there’s also a new documentary on Sinead O’Connor, Nothing Compares, available from 21st December. Vengeance is a comedy thriller which will be released on Boxing Day.

Rakuten TV will also be releasing, free of charge, plenty of titles in their AVOD section, including; Unfinished Business (comedy featuring Vince Vaughn), The Illusionist (drama, fantasy with Edward Norton and Jessica Biel), Runner Runner (thriller with Ben Affleck and Justin Timberlake), Siberia (action thriller with Keanu Reeves), The Operative (action drama with Diane Kruger) all available exclusively and for free on Rakuten TV from 1st December!

For those who love powerful, emotive dramas – there are plenty to choose from, including; JFK, Once Upon A Time In America, True Story, Natural Born Killers, Sommersby and Tigerland and This Boy’s Life. There’s also fun to be had for all the family this December, with lots of titles to choose from, including; Firehouse Dog, My Friend The Dolphin, The Ice Princess, Spy Cat, Polar Squad and Maya The Bee: The Honey Games. All titles will be available exclusively and free of charge from 1st December!

In SVOD/LIONSGATE+, Rakuten will be releasing Tyler Perry’s A Madea Christmas and also new drama All Those Things We Never Said, starring Jean Reno, on 15th December.
