Brand New Titles on Rakuten TV This November – Seth Rogen’s Self-Produced American Pickle, Stage Mother and more

With the nights drawing in it’s time to cosy up with a brand new range of titles – there something for everyone to watch, from thrillers including Black Water Abyss, Death of Me, Unhinged and Peninsula, to comedies and drama Stage Mother, Dream BuildersAn American Pickle and ReaI, to the start of the festive season with A Christmas Gift From Bob. The highly anticipated, live-action adaptation Mulan will also be available to own on Rakuten TV at a discounted price.  As well as this, November bringing exciting new releases to Rakuten TV’s Starzplay section including gangster drama Godfather of Harlem and on Rakuten TV’s FREE section comes Arthur & Merlin: Knights of Camelot. 


New to rent or buy on Rakuten TV are terrifying titles that will have film fans hearts racing. Death Of Me starring Maggie Q and Luke Hemsworth sees a couple’s dream vacation turn nightmarish as they become typhooned on an island and mixed up in a chilling and horrifying game. Unhinged starring Russel Crowe slowly unravels into a dark and twisted tale, when a road rage incident turns into a vicious and relentless hunt for revenge. Peninsula, the sequel to smash-hit South Korean zombie film Train To Busan is set to terrify audiences as they are reintroduced to South Korea four years after the initial zombie virus outbreak.

An American Pickle starring Seth Rogen. The comedy actor will undoubtedly have audiences laughing in this clever tale of zany time travel, which provides a fish-out-of-water comedy alongside astute insights into every day American life. Heart-warming tale, Stage Mother, starring Lucy Liu, Jacki Weaver and Adrian Grenier, tells the up-lifting  and emotional story of a Christian choir director, who takes on the failing drag club of her late son.


Dream Builders is the animated, colourful adventure story perfect for kids to cosy up to this Autumn. And whilst younger audiences can enjoy watching the fantastical world of dreams, Real is the heart-wrenching romantic drama, telling the complicated love story of two every day people with every day problems, that parents can enjoy.  Fans who enjoyed A Street Cat Named Bob, then the brilliant sequel A Christmas Gift From Bob is finally here and ready to get audiences in the festive spirit.


Audiences will be also given the opportunity to own Disney’s visually stunning live action remake of Mulan starring Yifei Liu, Donnie Yen and Li Gong at a reduced price. With stunning energy, magical storytelling and beautifully composed action sequences, this triumphant remake is perfect for all the family.


Joining Starzplay is the debut season of the breakout hit Godfather of Harlem, a series led by Forest Whitaker. Inspired by infamous crime boss Bumpy Johnson (Whitaker) in 1960s New York, the story tells of Bumpy’s struggle to regain control of the streets after eleven years in prison. Action packed and entertaining, and completely bingeable viewing.
