HEAVYWEIGHT | New Poster For Boxing Drama Released Following Last Night’s World Premiere Opening of the 33rd Raindance Film Festival

BLACKWATER PICTURES & SILVER MILK PRODUCTIONS are excited to share the brand new poster for tense boxing drama HEAVYWEIGHT. The film celebrated its World Premiere as the opening night gala of the 33rd Raindance Film Festival, where HEAVYWEIGHT’s Jason Isaacs also received the festival’s Icon Award.

HEAVYWEIGHT’s attendees, alongside Jason Isaacs (Harry Potter series, White Lotus), included Jordan Bolger (Peaky Blinders) Director Christopher M. Anthony, Blake Harrison (The Inbetweeners), Sienna Guillory (Resident Evil: Apocalypse), as well as special video messages from Nicholas Pinnock.

HEAVYWEIGHT is Anthony’s debut feature, and follows wildcard boxing contender, ‘Diamond’ Derek Douglas (Bolger), and his support team ahead of a title fight he doubts he can win. The pressure escalates in real-time, as dirty tricks and revelations are revealed. ‘Heavyweight’ is an intense and visceral experience exploring a side of elite sport rarely seen.

Also in attendance were HEAVYWEIGHT producers Kevin Harvey, BAFTA-nominated Tiernan Hanby, Simon Marriott & Oliver Slinger. The event was also attended by fellow Icon Award-winner Celia Imrie (Calendar Girls) and boxers David Haye & Joe Joyce.
