I Can’t Help You series starring Broadway actress Lilly Dennis ordered!

Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, HBO… This is the new age of entertainment. World-wide the original content from these streaming services are producing content starring some of the biggest stars in Hollywood, such as Jennifer Anniston, Adam Sandler, Jane Fonda, Laura Dern, Julia Roberts and so many more. And this long list is not a surprise with Netflix expected to spend a $US 15 billion on original content in 2019. These streaming services are producing some of the world’s highest grossing tv shows and movies to date. Not only are these streaming services world-wide producing original content in each country, but they are using this original content to not only feature Oscar Award Winners but also using it to launch the careers of up and coming stars.

This is exactly what’s happening with the recently announced show I Can’t Help You starring Australian actress Lilly Dennis. Dennis has appeared on Broadway in the Award-Winning play Chocoholic and starred in countless films and TV shows. The series is set to star the young famed actor in the lead role of Felicity, a very unqualified, British therapist in New York City who treats only one patient with a multiple-personality disorder. The series is a sit-com and will be directed by Ian Ogivy, the famed British actor and director who has worked with talent such as Meryl Streep. The series has been picked up independently by Halleloo Productions. The series is in the early stages and its first season is in talks to be available on Amazon Prime in late 2020.

I Can’t Help You is executively produced by Second City Alum Angela Benitez, who follows in the footsteps of other famed alumni such as Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. Female produced and run content is becoming more in demand as the entertainment industry makes the shift to produce more female driven content. The series is commanding a lot of attention already and is eagerly anticipated.
