Buzz, Film

A one-off event, an unprecedented celebration: I LOVE LUCCA COMICS & GAMES lit up the 20th Rome Film Festival, where it had its official premiere last night in the FreeStyle Arts section.

This eagerly awaited film will screen in Italian cinemas for three days—November 10, 11, and 12, 2025—distributed by I Wonder Pictures in collaboration with the Unipol Biografilm Collection.

Walking the red carpet at the Auditorium Parco della Musica – and later at the striking MAXXI Museum – were director and screenwriter Manlio Castagna; producer and editorial director of I Wonder Pictures and All At Once Andrea Romeo; and Lucca Comics & Games director Emanuele Vietina. They were joined by executive producer Giulia Moretti.

Lucca Comics & Games, the pop-culture festival, draws more than 300,000 fans to the medieval city of Lucca each year. The premiere featured a spectacular parade of 40+ cosplayers – including leading names on the Italian and international scene such as Leon Chiro, Elizabeth Rage, Nynphahri, Himorta, Gaia Giselle, and Nives Sela – who, together with creators, associations, and fans brought the energy and emotion of Lucca Comics & Games to the Rome Film Festival red carpet.
