Vertigo Releasing has announced that WILD INDIAN will receive its UK premiere at the 65th BFI London Film Festival next month, in the ‘Thrill’ section, and will be released in UK and Irish cinemas and on digital platforms on 29th October.

The acclaimed thriller is writer/director Lyle Mitchell Corbine Jr.’s feature debut, and has led him to be described by The Hollywood Reporter as “an impressive cinematic talent”. The film grapples with the complexities of guilt, class and indigenous American identity, whilst still delivering “a ruthlessly efficient, stripped-down neo-noir” (Flickering Myth).

Leading an impressive cast that includes Jesse Eisenberg (Vivarium, The Social Network) and Kate Bosworth (Force of Nature), Michael Greyeyes (True Detective, I Know This Much Is True) is chilling as the protagonist, Makwa. WILD INDIAN was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, and RogerEbert.com has stated that the film “should be regarded as a major work, not just within the context of its director’s career, but cinema as a whole”.

Synopsis: Makwa and Ted-O, two Anishinaabe men, are inextricably bound together after covering up the savage murder of a schoolmate. After years of separation following wildly divergent paths, they must finally confront how their traumatic secret has irrevocably shaped their lives.

WILD INDIAN WILL BE RELEASED IN CINEMAS AND ON DIGITAL PLATFORMS ON 29TH OCTOBER
